Digital Printing
Digital printing has emerged as a solution to bridge the gap between traditional offset printing and lower-quality color laser and ink-jet printers. Digital presses output high-quality color print on a wide variety of paper stocks and are ideally suited to producing printed materials in smaller quantities that would be cost-probitive to produce using traditional offset printing yet require that higher level of print quality.

Arctic Printing & Graphics is pleased to offer access to digital printing capability with our Xerox X700 Digital Press. |
The X700 is ideally suited to fill our clients need for high-quality, short-run color printing. Capable of running up to 12-point (0.012") cover and sheet sizes up to 13 x 19" at up to 60 pages per minute, the X700 makes quick work of most any job while delivering excellent quality. This makes it perfect for producing smaller quantities (20 to 2000) of color brochures, flyers, inserts, and postcards.
Variable Data Printing, driven by Creo
As an added capability, our Xerox X700 Digital Press is capable of printing variable data on your printed material through the use of the Creo Darwin VDP software.
Variable data printing allows the unique personalization of each piece - names, titles, adressing, even whole blocks of text and images - during the printing process. This opens up exciting new avenues of directed target marketing for our clients.
Postcards and mailers that are not just addressed to the recipient, but also include information specific to them, can have a dramatic effect on the response you receive. Marketing surveys show that response rates improve exponentially when the printed material has been personalized to the recipient, whether it be their name, company, city, neighborhood, or countless other elements.
We invite you to consult with your Account Executive for information on how we can help you integrate variable data with your project.
Some things you need to know about Variable Data Printing:
- Variable data information should be provided as an Excel spreadsheet or comma-separated file (.csv)
- Use of variable data printing for mailing purposes will be coordinated through our Mailing Department and may incur additional processing charges.
- The Darwin VDP software functions as a plug-in for Adobe InDesign. Integration of variable data printing with files from other page layout programs may incur additional preparation costs .
